AustraliaLove the fit!
The new 2024 fit is a dream! Love the padding on the sole and the supportive ankle straps. The plastic is softer than Pleasers but the angle of the sole does feel steeper. It feels taller than 8 inches due to this steeper angle but I’m not too fussed about it because the shoe is so gorgeous.

Generally, I prefer the design of the Hella Heels sandals compared to the other brand I tried - I have skinny feet and so the smaller toe opening and higher rise of the toe strap mean my feet can't escape the front of the shoe. Love the colour and it's much more comfortable than you'd expect. Never tried the old fit, but the strap feels super comfortable and doesn't dig in, my only problem was that the buckle openings were uneven on both shoe and as someone who needs to always add additional holes on all buckle shoes, it meant that I could feel the difference between the left and right and the right shoe was too loose for me to safety wear these. Ended up having to return them as there is no way of being able to add another hole on the strap. Recommend the shoe for most, but not for skinny feet/ankles!
